Targets

Policy targets are one of the most important building blocks of good policy. They are a snapshot into a policy’s plans for the future and are the yardstick by which governments can be held to account.

We have been building an algorithm to detect targets (a “classifier”) in text, and have extracted every policy target that exists in our datasets – including every national climate law and policy globally.

This is a big dataset. How can we help our users explore it? How can you find targets that help answer your questions about climate policy? That is the goal of these experiments.

Explore the Targets dataset

Use our Targets Explorer to search and filter targets extracted from our database of 6,0000 climate related documents. Or, try the Targets Comparer to explore targets from the same geography, region, income band, topic or target year as a target you’re interested in.
